With brilliant handling and a sonorous flat-six engine mounted behind the driver, we once again name the Boxster to our 10Best list. It offers much of the 911’s goodness (and interior), yet possesses its own distinctive character. There are three engine choices: a 265-hp, 2.7-liter; a 315-hp, 3.4-liter S; and a 330-hp, 3.4-liter GTS. A six-speed manual is standard, and a seven-speed automatic is offered.
